KDPM is pleased to announce that Joseph Mukuna Ekhuya Simekha, founding President of Unarete, the Africa chapter of the international organisation which is devoted to bridging the digital divide, will contest for the Emukhaya parliamentary seat to replace Lawyer Kenneth Marende, new Speaker of the Kenya National Assembly.
PROFILE:
Age: 36 years.
Family: Simekha family Ebusubi Mundichiri, Ekatieno Village, in North Bunyore Location, Emuhaya District.
Party Affiliation: Orange Democratic Movement- ODM.
Profession: Social policy analyst and a governance & leadership trainer.
Work Experience:Has considerable experience in designing and developing civic education and political literacy training materials, training in and facilitating public policy and advocacy processes and facilitating organization development processes. Has worked and consulted for several public and civil society organizations in the areas of public policy research, advocacy and training; election monitoring and observation; democracy building, governance and organizational development. These include:

Joseph worked at Resource Projects Kenya -a national livelihoods & natural resource advocacy NGO) as the Policy & Advocacy Manager.He left to work as an Associate Consultant at Projects and Allied Consultants Ltd. He is also an on-call Associate Consultant of the Active Learning Centre (Scotland) for whom he has undertaken several governance and democracy building assignments in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Ethiopia.
Currently: Joseph Mukuna Ekhuya Simekha is the Director of Programmes and equal shareholder at Projects and Allied Consultants – a premier Development Consultancy Company in Nairobi.
