The demonstration by Kenyans in the UK takes place on Friday 8th February, 2008 in London as from 1.30 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. followed by presentation of a petition to the Prime Minister Gordon Brown at 10 Downing Street at 3.00 p.m. All the arrangements with police has been finalised and Kenyans and friends of Kenyans are meeting at Richmond Terrace (opposite Downing Street (London SW1A 2AA) at 2.00 p.m.) Six people will be entering No. 10 Downing Street to present the petition to the Prime Minister at 3.00 p.m. The organising committee is requesting Kenyans whenever they are to support the petition by signing the forms of petition which you can download below - you sign and have your friends and friends of Kenya to sign and then send the signed form to: Rev. Geoffrey Macharia, 34 Larbert Road, Streatham, Vale, London SW16 5BJ. You must send the signed form with first class stamp before 2.00 p.m. on Thursday 7th February, 2008. When you print the forms you can photocopy and give to as many people as possible to sign. We require thousands of signatures from you. If you are Scotland, Reading, Oxford, Northampton, Wales or Bristol or anywhere else in the UK we need your support and when you see the message print and spread the word. The demonstration and presentation of the petition will only take two hours as from 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. to allow those coming from far time to come and go back. The organising committee is requesting people to turn in large numbers.

THE PETITION WILL AIM TO:

- End to violence in Kenya
- End biased, misleading, UK, Western, media reporting on Kenya
- End abuse of public minds through misinformation about Kenya
- Respect for Kenya as a sovereign state governed by a constitution
- Uphold the Rule of Law, adherence to Kenya Constitution of the day
- End to impunity for perpetrators of political crimes
- Prosecution of past and current political crimes perpetrators
- Respect for the sanctity of human life in Kenya by all
- Justice for victims of violence and other political crimes.
